Since Thursdays are Nick's off day from training, he planned for us to go on a scenic drive through the Alpine Loop, have a picnic and take some fun pictures of fall. We first began the day skyping with Nick's sister Jessica who is in Thailand caring for kids. It was nice to catch up with her. After that little chat, we packed up our food and camera and hit the road. About an hour and a half into the drive after taking some really fun pictures and seeing a bunch of colors we decided to look for a spot to eat because we were starving! Nick looked in the back seat and said, "We have no food." Yeah, he forgot to bring the cooler with our food and water and everything. I thought he put it in the trunk, but he didn't even take it out of the kitchen.
We journeyed home and about an hour later we were scarfing our Jimmy John subs and sun chips in the lovesac while watching The Big Bang Theory. I enjoyed a nap while dinner was cooking in the crockpot and woke up just in time to get out the door to work. Nick says that he messed this date up, but it now has more of a memory tied to it and no one was injured.
