Tuesday Evening

This past Tuesday I attended a little get together for Jon and Julia. We tied a large quilt, had some good desserts, including Julia's home made lemon lime ice cream, and opened presents. It was a girl party mostly made up of family and a few friends,  but Jon was there too as the only boy.  I got them 2 little gifts that I decided to get for myself also, because they looked cool and I've always wanted them. The first was a book on CD called "What We Wish We Would Have Known When We Were Newlyweds" and it's by the awesome John Bytheway and his wife. And the second is a book called "Family Home Evening for Newlyweds." It has a bunch of ideas and activities to do to strengthening your relationship and have fun when you are a family of 2.

That same evening Nick was playing paintball for the Utah Cooperate games representing Backcountry. His team made it to the semis and they beat out a team that would practice at least once a week and that no other team could beat. Nick came home with only 2 welts on his arm; that is a record! He loves paintball so much and has all the gear. He is like a little kid at Christmas when he knows he's going to play.
