Saturday morning Nick went on his normal team ride up a mountain. He rode 48 miles with a 3,500 foot vertical and burned 1,800 calories. After the ride he told his coach his numbers and asked if he could have a big mac... his coach said he could have two.
While he was out riding I did all the grocery shopping because Saturday afternoons we like to chill and watch a few hours Alias. Good times.
Sunday Nick took like a 2-3 hour nap and woke up around 4. I told him that he was going to have a hard time falling asleep and he said, "Not huh, I am going to cook." I didn't know that cooking made one tired, none the less we cooked. I started off by making these sliced tomatoes with garlic salt, grated cheese and parsley, baked at 350ish till the cheese melts. Amazing! We ate 4 whole tomatoes.
and then wanted to make more more real potato chips. Nick sliced and I decorated with kosher salt and pepper.
While they were cooking, Nick make some oatmeal raisin cookies and we did dishes a million times. So we only cooked 3 things, but I wanted to make some pretzel sticks or bites, but we were out of an ingredient and Nick wanted to make some chocolate chip cookies, I told him one kind of cookie a week is probably best. haha. I did my nails. They have a greenish base with black and white crackle, a small pink flower in the corner and silver glitter on top.
All in all it was a good weekend. Another small story, a few weeks ago Nick was saying how he should probably just get an ipod since I had one and all the good songs were on itunes. He had a regular mp3 player, but it was through a different program and such. Well secretly I went online and bought him one. One morning we were sitting in the living room and the doorbell rings. It was the FedEx guy and he handed Nick a box. SURPRISE!!!!!
The tiny thing is rad. It's got radio and a pedometer, setting and options that are just wowing and a cool touch screen and it can clip anywhere. He has been using it on all his bike rides and inlining workouts.
