It's the weekend again. This past week has been really great. Last Saturday Nick had a huge-normous biking workout. He rode 60 something miles and burned 2,468 calories. He and his team started at the top on one canyon, rode down it, over to another canyon, rode up and back down, then back over and up the first canyon. Good times. Tomorrow the workout is OYO (on your own) and he and a teammate are going mountain biking somewhere.
The mornings are getting more productive and fun, for me at least (Nick was born productive). I have been going to workout at the rec center while Nick goes to his skater workouts. We get done around the same time, have some food and go lay out by the pool for 30-40 minutes. It's so nice.
Avocados all around! I have been making the awesomeist breakfast burritos in the mornings:
- tortilla
- avocado
- tomato
- mushroom
- cheese
- egg
Then for lunch or whenever we have been spreading avocados on sandwiches instead of using ketchup or mayo. Mmm so great. I should take a picture.
Nick's long track blades are ready to go. He has been rocking and sharpening for weeks trying to get them ready for the ice next month!
