Today is Monday, but it really feels like a Sunday. Just work up from a long afternoon nap, so I hope this post makes sense. This past Saturday morning we got up and headed for Panaca! It was going to be an exciting trip for all the happenings taking place. We rolled through town and headed straight to Caliente for my Mom's and the babies' birthday party, arrived around 11:30 local time. Uncle Glen came up from Vegas and Uncle John & fam traveled from Calif (recently moved from Chicago area - haven't seen then since 2005ish) - thus a mini family reunion at the birthday party. There were lots of babies, food and water fun. I think everyone had a good time. The weather was nice - a bit windy. We hung out there for a few hours before heading to Panaca to hang out with the fam. Shortly after that, we had to get to Cathedral Gorge for my high school 10 year reunion. Upon arriving, there were signs up all over the park saying that the astronomers were there from Vegas and that the public was invited to check out the views. Nick and I ended up sneaking away from the reunion to see Saturn. It was rad. There was a good turn out for the reunion, less than I had planned for, but all was well. The company and catching up with people was enjoyable. On Sunday, we went to church - good old Panaca 2nd ward. Some people looked exactly the same, young kids were now taller than me and some people have aged a bit. Due to a lot of people having a blog or being on FB, it doesn't really seem like it'd been 10 years. We arrived back home last night, it was just a quick trip - though it seems like we were gone fr a week. Panaca is just a fun place to be, everyone knows everyone and it's a tiny place in the middle of a wide open space where anything you want has limitless possibilities.
